Boychinka Jonkova

Boychinka Jonkova has earned her Ph.D. in economics and has continued specializing in Russia and Great Britain, becoming a certified lecturer in the international accounting standards. She has successfully adopted accounting standards in Bulgaria through her active work in the Editorial Commission for Official Translation of International Accounting Standards (2003) and the International Financial Reporting Standards Commission (2005). Boychinka Jonkova holds the position of associate professor in the Accounting and Analysis Department of the University of National and World Economy, Bulgaria, and she is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) in Bulgaria and the Chair of the Council for Audit Service Quality Control. During her career Boychinka Jonkova published more than 2,500 pages on accounting. As a business consultant she has been focused on the accounting practices, expenditure centres, business application of calculation methods, accounting operations and capital budgeting. Her professional experience has been summarized in her books about international accounting standards and company accounting analysis. Boychinka Jonkova lectures the disciplines of financial accounting, management accounting and international accounting standards on an expert master level.
